Raleigh Lodge was originally built as stables for the Manor house next door the squire kept his coach and horses in this building and the lovely cobbled courtyard to the rear would have been the main access from the Manor The building has been converted into living space and now offers bright and spacious holiday accommodation all on one level in one of the finest settings on Exmoor

From the car parking area at the front of the property the entrance door leads into a hallway The spacious sitting room has a wood-burner at the far and two comfortable sofas perfect for unwinding with family or friends after a day exploring The large sliding doors allow you to enjoy the views from the comfort of the sofa or you can also sit outside on the patio furniture Separate to the main sitting room is the snug or TV room which has the television cleverly hidden in the cabinet The kitchen dining room has wonderfully high ceilings with exposed beams and is fitted with an Aga which ensures a warm and cosy atmosphere Sliding doors from the kitchen lead out to the cobbled courtyard to the rear complete with barbecue for cooking and dining al fresco From the kitchen a rear hallway leads to the utility room which has plenty of room for hanging coats and storing boots and has an external door to the car parking area

The master bedroom has a king-sized double bed with a unique bed frame the bedroom has fitted wardrobes and a roll top bath plus a separate en-suite shower room Of the other two bedrooms one has a super-king bed that can be made up as twin beds if requested at time of booking

and this room has an en-suite wet room The third bedroom has another king-sized bed with a shower room adjacent off the hall

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement maximum of 3

A supplementary fee of

15 will be added to your invoice per dog Please do not allow you dogs on the furniture or into the bedroom end of the property and do not leave them alone in the property at any time

There is a paddock with field shelter beside the property which can be available for guests
